We’re looking for a Systems Engineer to join our Zutonites! You’ll be responsible for all infrastructure and operations aspects of the retained Server, Storage and Active Directory infrastructure. Working collaboratively with other technical colleagues to provide second and third line technical support as well as provide your invaluable specialist technical input into future projects, ensuring any changes to the infrastructure are considered and successfully implemented.
What will I be doing?
• Providing end to end management & support. • Implementing and maintaining effective working practices and procedures. • Ensuring cost-effective delivery of high-quality services. • Providing comprehensive and highly technical consulting to the business and user community. • Maintaining high availability of services to the global user community through proactive support. • Supporting the design and maintenance of infrastructure strategy and model to improve systems availability, performance, incidents etc. • Managing future improvements and features for the infrastructure in AWS (such as AD, ADFS, OMS). • Managing future improvements and features for SCCM, automation of OS builds and reporting. • Contributing to the security of the organisation's systems, taking ownership and responsibility for the estate when necessary. • Manage future improvements and features for MDM, using Office 365 to create policies to manage MAC, PC and mobile devices. • Providing and maintains an up-to-date inventory and configuration for all operational infrastructures, hardware, software, and software licenses including warranty information. • Contributing to the on-call rota and out of hours support. • Encouraging and inspiring through and coaching 1st and 2nd line support. • Working collaboratively to meet KPI’s and SSL’s. • Contributing to key IT projects such as; AWS, SCCM, MDM
What we’re looking for from you
• Experience of working in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent communication skills. • Strong skillset of data centre technologies including SAN, Virtualisation, Servers, and Networks. • Excellent working knowledge and experience of Systems technologies and platforms currently deployed by Zuto,including; AWS / Azure, Windows Servers / Clients, MAC Clients, Active Directory, Storage, Backups, PowerShell, Office 365 and Virtualization. • Practical experience of live operational Enterprise Systems environments. • Ability to constructively challenge decisions. • Strong self-reliance, client facing credibility & authority. • Ability to manage workload successfully under pressure. • Good knowledge of industry best practices, methodologies, techniques, tools and resources.
Stuff that’s not essential but we’d like you to have
• ITIL,certification • MCITP or equivalent qualifications. • 365 or equivalent qualifications. • Experience of Cloud systems (AWS, Azure). • Experience of Linux systems. • Experience with monitoring solutions. • Experience of managing IT resources to ensure workload is progressed in priority order. • Experience of proactively identifying and implementing performance improvements. • Experience of liaising with business areas to understand workload priorities and associated impacts. • An appreciation of IT Development practices and tools, including Agile. • Experience of liaising with business areas to understand workload priorities and associated impacts.
