How did you hear about the wonders of Zuto and when did you join the party?

I was lucky enough to have been contacted by our very own Paul Ramsden, who I’d worked with previously at The Hut Group. I joined the finance team back in June 2014.

How do you contribute to help customers make better big decision?

I work in the Financial Planning & Analysis team, planning and analysing how the business is performing. By understanding how we can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of all areas of the business, we can look to improve what we offer to our customers.

What’s your typical day like in Zutopia?

There are the usual reports that you would expect a member of any finance team to produce. But, I can also be found completing one-off projects, often trying to build business cases around one of Ryan’s many visions…who knows what I’ll be doing next!

Tell us the best bit about life at Zuto?

There’s never one day the same. The fast paced environment allows for a huge amount of learning, which wouldn’t be possible in a more corporate firm. The business has been through a lot lately, but we’re growing at a pace and now we’re really starting to pull together and work coherently.

How much do you love your fellow Zutonites?

The place still has a ‘big family’ feel, and that really shows. I genuinely believe people would do anything to help their fellow Zutonites, myself included!

What three words describe Zuto?

Disruptive, passionate, fun.

When you’re not loving life at Zuto, what can you be found doing?

I can usually be found in the gym, but I’m equally as happy with friends in a bar, at home with family, or almost anything out in the Cheshire countryside.

Finally, who would you like to hear from next? Nominate the next Zutonite:

I nominate Aimee Picken – Digital Marketing Director. Aimee the questions are on their way to you. Watch this space to meet Aimee

How did you hear about the wonders of Zuto and when did you join the party?

Via a Recruitment Company in October 2015

How do you contribute to help customers make better big decision?

Reporting on the business’ performance, managing the maximisation of the cash position and helping to create a leaner finance function for the business. All whilst still improving on giving the SLT, and other partners, the information they require to make critical decisions.

What’s your typical day like in Zutopia?

There aren’t any typical days at Zuto, every day is different. That’s part of the challenge, a part that I enjoy, particularly when working in an entrepreneurial business.

Tell us the best bit about life at Zuto?

The people and the challenge to improve.

How much do you love your fellow Zutonites?

Not sure love is the word I’d choose

What three words describe Zuto?

Dynamic, challenging, exciting

When you’re not loving life at Zuto, what can you be found doing?

Adjusting to life as a new Dad, running for my local running club and being bored by Louis van Gaal’s United at Old Trafford.

Finally, who would you like to hear from next? Nominate the next Zutonite:

Mark Buckley – Head of People Developer. Mark the questions are on their way to you.

How did you hear about the wonders of Zuto and when did you join the party?

I first heard about Zuto through a friend and joined the company in September 2015.

How do you contribute to help customers make better big decision?

In my current role as sales analyst, I help the sales and operational management teams to identify opportunities to improve the way that we operate. I do this through the provision of insightful reporting and analytics, with the ultimate aim of improving the customer experience.

What’s your typical day like in Zutopia?

Most mornings start with the generation and distribution of regular reports. The rest of the day is usually much more diverse, I attend meetings with managers from across the business to understand current business problems that could potentially be solved through the provision of insightful data and/or automation of existing processes. I also work on the development of existing reporting projects, assist the senior management team with the provision of operational metrics for discussion in the weekly trading meetings or assist other Zutonites with the automation of existing reports and processes.

Tell us the best bit about life at Zuto?

The culture, it’s very collaborative and supportive.
